A huge explosion rocked Ex-Control area in the outskirts of Mogadishu capital Saturday morning amid fears of high casualties.
Sources told a vehicle loaded with explosives blew up at a check-point in Ex-Control sending shockwaves in the vicinity. Plumes of smokes went up the sky as fire ravaged nearby structures.
There was no immediate information on the number of casualties but sources said people heading out for the day were caught up in the explosion which comes barely three days before the year ends.
