Four security personnel attached to Puntland president Abdullahi Deni were killed in a road accident Monday as the Puntland leader was heading to Bosaso.
Sources said one of the vehicles in the convoy veered off the road and rolled killing four occupants while seven other soldiers in the convoy were injured.
The incident took place in Karin-dhiig hill between Dangoroyo district and Libaaho villages in Nugal region. The injured were rushed to hospitals in the region.
The accident comes barely two weeks after Deni escaped an IED attack in Bosaso. His convoy hit an IED as he drove into Bosaso on February 21 killing two of his bodyguards.
