An explosion in Bulo Burte town in Hiran region has killed at least one soldier serving with African Union Mission to Somalia [AMISOM] on Friday.
The blast has resulted from a remotely-controlled landmine planted in the main Airport in the town, according to local residents who spoke to Radio Shabelle.
The Improvised Explosive Device [IED] has left 1 Djibouti peacekeeper and two others wounded. No group has yet claimed credit for the bombing targeted the AU forces.
In the aftermath of the explosion, the Djibouti troops carried out an operation that saw the arrest of several Somali soldiers in connection with the incident.
