Kuwait Condemns Deadly Blast In Somalia Capital

Kuwait has condemned two terrorist bomb blasts that took place in the cities of Mogadishu last weekend, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait affirmed the country’s support for Somalia in measures taken against violence, extremism, and terrorism, an official source from the ministry was quoted as saying.

He urged the international community to double efforts in facing the hateful phenomenon of terrorism, so people may enjoy safety and stability, expressing condolences to victims’ families and wishing the injured quick recovery.

At least 14 people were killed and several others injured in a bomb attack outside a popular hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Thursday.

Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the latest blast but al-Shabaab fighters are often behind such attacks in the country.
