Attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire met with his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau.
The two leaders briefly met at a dinner event held for the participating leaders.
Prime Khaire noted that he was pleased to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau saying they briefly discussed issues that were of common interest for the two countries.
During his stay at Davos, Prime Minister Khaire also met other leaders attending the forum, including the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde.
The World Economic Forum is a Swiss nonprofit organization. Its mission is cited as “committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas”.
The forum is best known for it’s annual meeting at the end of January in Davos, a luxury resort in the easter Alps. The annual summit brings together 2,500 global leaders of nations and industry.
