Puntland President Abdullahi Deni and his Jubbaland counterpart Ahmed Madobe have both arrived in Mogadishu ahead of electoral talks with President Mohamed Farmaajo.
The two leaders arrived separately in Mogadishu ahead of the anticipated talks aimed an breaking the electoral stalemate.
Sources said the two leaders will be meeting with representatives of the international community before heading to Villa Somalia.
The two leaders have expressed dissenting opinions over the Dhusamareb electoral model arrived at by a section of regional leaders and President Farmaajo.
Both Madobe and Deni also failed to attend the talks delaying agreements on the poll process.
Deni has never been to Mogadishu since he was elected president of Puntland January 2019 as he and Madobe have had frosty relations with the Federal Government.
