Somali foreign minister receives African Union delegation led by Mbeki in Mogadishu

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Isse Awad, received today at the Aden Abdulle International Airport in Mogadishu a delegation from the AU High-Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) led by former South African President Thabo Mbeki.

According to the schedule, both HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed “Farmaajo” and Deputy Prime Minister HE Mahdi Mohamed Gulaid (Khadar) will meet with the AU team at two different meetings.

The visit of the AUHIP delegation will take two days (July 20-22), where they will hold several consultative meetings with Somali civil society, IGAD, AMISOM and UNSOM.
